The note book
“As we all know, while the riots raged in the streets of Paris lots of cars were set on fire. During the worst nights over 1000 cars were burned down by angry protesters frustrated by French so-called integration policy which resulted in a complete catastrophe. Burning cars in Paris and government on alert, who could honestly say that the events of 1968 didn’t come to their minds? As a historical contrast not well-known, one car was burned down in Finland during the student riots in 1968 but before burning the car, the protestors applied for permission to burn it from the police and fire department. Therefore, Finns can only admire the way the French bureaucracy handled the huge amounts of applications in such a short time.”

“Imagine that your tap water comes suddenly to have a really bad taste and even gets non drinkable at all. What would you do? Stop drinking water! Search for the source of the problem? Ensure water will be properly treated? Few would go for just getting rid of the tap! Thus, to clear up infected soccer from violence, like what happened during both Turkey-Switzerland matches to qualify for 2006 World Cup, FIFA President Sepp Blatter declared he wants to get rid of national hymns in international soccer competitions in order to root out violence among supporters.”
